The BOEING 737 MAX Situation – an Independent Perspective
The two accidents involving the Boeing 737MAX and subsequent restrictions on the aircraft have attracted a huge amount of media attention and public interest.
This presentation will provide an overview of the accidents and contributing factors. It will also identify the activities that are in progress to solve the situation and return the aircraft to service. As Boeing 737MAX is operated across the world, the return to service will be complex and will involve a vast number of stakeholders. We will explain how the international community of regulators are working together to meet the challenge.
Also with a longer term view, we will examine what lessons can be learnt by the aerospace industry as a result of these accidents and how do those lessons apply to other industries.
