Port of Auckland’s New 130T Container Cranes
The new container cranes at Port of Auckland’s Ferguson Wharf are some of the largest and most automated in the world. This is a rare opportunity to visit them during commissioning and prior to them going into 24/7 service. We will be going up the cranes by elevator to the winch house, so you will need to be comfortable with heights!
Time: 4:30pm (to avoid city rush hour traffic and make sure we have enough light).
Date: Tuesday 19th March. Note that there will be a second visit on Thursday 28th March if required as the group size will be limited to 20 per visit, so please advise if you have a date preference.
Location: Ports of Auckland Building/1 Sunderland St, Parnell, Auckland 1010.
Parking: staff/contractor car park in front of the PoA building.
PPE: You will need to bring your own steel cap boots. Please also bring your own safety helmet, safety glasses and hi-vis vest if you have them. Let us know in your response if you need that PPE so we can provide it for those that require it.
